On November 8th, 2020 the first French virtual convention dedicated to Supernatural happened. Many actors from the show were there : Misha Collins, Ruth Connell, Mark Pellegrino and also Rob Benedict, who plays Chuck / God on the TV series.
During his solo Q&A, Rob revealed that a crossover between the CW shows Riverdale and Supernatural was brought up for the episode 12 of the last season of the show: “there was supposed to be an episode this season that one of the writers pitched. We were going to do it and then they changed their minds and went a different way”. In the episode, Chuck is standing in front of many TV and shows Sam (Winchester, Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Winchester, Jensen Ackles) the different worlds he created: “originally, I took Sam and Dean and show them all these worlds, these alternate universes. In one of the worlds, we went into the world of Riverdale. It was like a crossover with Riverdale. Richard (Speight Jr.) was going to direct it. We were going to go on the set of Riverdale and do a lot of really cool stuff that Robert Berens, the writer had pitched”.
