Stranger Things : first details of Season 3

What can we expect from season 3 ?s

First of all, it would seem that the 3rd season is gonna be, like season 1 but unlike season 2, 8 episodes long. Things are kind of hazy concerning the scenario of this new season. We know that the season will take place one year after season 2 finale. The actors grew up during the gap between the shooting of season 2 and season 3 and the Duffer Brothers have been forced to make a time jump to keep things as consistent as possible. So, this season will take place during the summer of 1985.

This year coincide with the release of Back to the Future and it would seem that this new season is somehow gonna pay tribute to the movie. It’s also certain that this new season will delve deeper into the relationships of the show, especially the relationship between Eleven and Mike but also the one between Max and Lucas. Lucas’ sister will also play an important part in this new season, for the fans’ enjoyment. Despite the fact that the gang closed the door the the Upside Down and chased the Mind Flayer, evil forces are still at work in Hawkins. What kind of trouble are they gonna have to face this time ?

There’s plenty of conjectures concerning the events of this 3rd season. A lot of people thinks that Kali (also known as Eight) is obviously gonna be back and that new « number children » like her and Eleven are also gonna show up. Others thinks that Dustin will have a hard time accepting that Max rejected him and chose his friend Lucas over him. And, obviously, fans are really excited to know more about the development in the relationship between Will’s mother Joyce and the detective Jim Hopper.

Which actors will be in this season ?

All the gang will be in this 3rd season : Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) and Will (Noah Schnapp). Steve Harrington (Joe Keery), one of the fans’ favorite, will also be in this season, with Nancy (Natalia Dyer), Joyce (Winona Ryder) and Hopper (David Harbour). Despite some trouble about cocaine possession, the actor playing Jonathan (Charlie Heaton), will also be there. Is Kali (Linnea Berthelsen) or « Papa » (Matthew Modine) are gonna be back ? We don’t know yet.

All in all, all the recurring cast will be in this new season. Maya Thurman-Hawk will be joining the cast and will be playing Robin, a young woman looking for adventure. Apart from this actress, we don’t know yet which new actors are gonna join the crew during the new episodes. However there’s 3 new characters who’re gonna show up during this season : Larry Kline, Hawkins’ mayor who’s only got his own interest at heart, Bruce, a misogynistic journalist with shady methods and Patricia Brown, an old neighbour who loves giving the children advices.

When will it be aired ?

No offical air date has been announced yet. The shooting should begin in April It’s possible that the 3rd season won’t be available on Netflix before 2019. An air date should be publicly announced once the shooting phase will near its end.

In conclusion, we don’t have a lot of informations concernant the 3rd season of Stranger Things but it’s still enough to make the fans’ mouths water and to rouse the fans’ imagination. Everybody is yearning to see Eleven, Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas and the others on screen again. But for now, we just have to be patient.
