The Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, which was first previewed at the D23 Expo 2022 (watch it at the end of the article), is adding three new members to its cast.

According to Variety, Disney+ has decided to cast Adam Copeland (Vikings), Suzanne Cryer (Silicon Valley) and Jessica Parker Kennedy (The Flash) for the first season of its adaptation of Rick Riordan’s work.

Adam Copeland, also known as Edge in the WWE, will play Ares, the god of war. This character is described as handsome and arrogant. Ares loves conflict and creates chaos wherever he goes. Suzanne Cryer will play Echidna, the mother of monsters. Dangerous, intimidating and strangely maternal, she will test Percy Jackson’s faith in the gods. Finally, Jessica Parker Kennedy will play the character of Medusa, the famous gorgon. Deceived by the gods and bitter, she lives in isolation until travelers stumble upon her store. While she is welcoming to some, she is a threat to others.

As a reminder, Percy Jackson and the Olympians will adapt the book saga of the same name and follow Percy (Walker Scobell), a 12-year-old demigod who is just beginning to come to terms with his newfound godly powers when Zeus accuses him of stealing his lightning bolt. With the help of his friends Grover (Aryan Simhadri) and Annabeth (Leah Sava Jeffries), Percy sets out to find the lost lightning bolt and restore order to Olympus.
