Prime Video continues to invest in Korean series with Confidence Queen, a comedy starring Park Min-young (Marry My Husband, What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim?), Park Hee-soon (Squid Game, Doctor Brain), and Joo Jong-hyuk (Extraordinary Attorney Woo, Teurigeo).
In Confidence Queen, an adaptation of a Japanese series, Park Min-young plays Yun Yi-rang, a brilliant heiress who has been living in the shadows since a childhood event. Far from giving up, however, she reinvents herself as a perfect con artist mastermind. With her sharp intuition and keen sense of observation, Yi-rang is on a mission “to strip villains of their illicitly gained money and builds her own wealth”. To help her carry out her scams, she can count on two allies: James (Park Hee-soon), a discreet man eager for new adventures, and Gu-ho (Joo Jong-hyuk), who “brings heart and warmth to the team through his friendly and optimistic nature”.
Confidence Queen, a K-drama directed by Nam Ki-hoon (Destined with You, Kiss Sixth Sense) and written by Hong Seung-hyun (Criminal Minds, Cheo Yong), will be available exclusively on Prime Video with a new episode released every week in over 240 countries. The streaming platform has not yet announced an official release date.
