A new Korean romcom is coming to Netflix for Valentine’s Day. According to a press release, the streaming platform will release Melo Movie, a K-drama from Oh Choong-Hwan (Hotel del Luna, Start-Up) and Lee Na Eun (Our Beloved Summer), starting February 14, 2025.
In this romantic comedy, we follow Ko Gyeom (Choi Woo-Shik), a cinephile turned film critic, and Kim Mubee (Park Bo-Young), a young director, as they reunite years after an unexpected incident drove them apart. Attracted to each other in the past, will they now be entitled to a “happy ending,” as Netflix wonders in the trailer for the Melo Movie series?
Choi Woo-Shik (Parasite, Our Beloved Summer) and Park Bo-Young (Light Shop, Strong Woman Do Bong Soon) are joined by Lee Jun-Young (Dreaming of a Freaking Fairytale, Badland Hunters) as Hong Si-Jun, an aspiring musician and Gyeom’s best friend, and Jeon So-Nee (Parasyte: The Grey, Our Blooming Youth) as Son Ju-A, a screenwriter and Si-Jun’s ex-girlfriend.
