During the TUDUM Japan event, Netflix has highlighted the series Alice in Borderland, with exclusive interviews with the cast and especially the unveiling of the long-awaited trailer of the new season.

Alice in Borderland, the manga written by Haro Aso, exists since the end of 2010, but it is indeed its adaptation into a TV series, first broadcast in December 2020 on Netflix, that has allowed it to develop its notoriety on a worldwide level.

A successful survival game

To resituate the story, we discover a group of friends living in Tokyo, who suddenly find themselves transported to a post-apocalyptic world. They must win games to survive in this parallel world that is as scary as it is intriguing!

This “survival game” has been compared many times to the Squid Game series or the movie Battle Royal because we find the same principle of survival games. But Alice in Borderland stands out for its futuristic and very realistic settings of existing places and its impressive action scenes.

What is interesting in this series is to observe how human beings interact with each other in the midst of this chaos. Clans form, and opinions and views differ among the characters. It should be the same in season 2.

A first look at Alice in Borderland season 2

In the video released at the TUDUM event, we see that the action is still omnipresent in these new episodes. Spectacular stunts, characters always on the move and a frantic pace will still be on the menu of the second season.

Characters we know well are back in this trailer, but we also see some new faces that could play leading roles in the episodes to come. It’s the case of the character who appears at the end of the trailer and who faces Arisu (Kento Yamazaki). His face is familiar to us since we can recognize the actor and singer Yamashita Tomohisa, whose reputation is not to be made anymore.

The cast of the second season of Alice in Borderland is going to be rich as we will see Kento Yamazaki, Tao Tsuchiya, Riisa Naka, Ayaka Miyoshi, Nijiro Murakami, Dori Sakurada, Aya Asahina and Sho Aoyagi. But several other actors will also appear, including Yuri Tsunematsu, Hayato Isomura, Katsuya Maiguma, Honami Sato, Kai Inowaki and Yamashita Tomohisa.

The trailer, which remains brief, does not allow us to have additional information on the continuation of the story. So the suspense is at its peak!

A suspense that will end on December 22, 2022 with the broadcast of the next part of the adventures of Usagi and Arisu. A date that the followers of the series have already marked in their agenda!
