Released in December 2020, the series Alice in Borderland, an adaptation of the eponymous manga by Haro Asō, had quickly won over Netflix subscribers and ranked in the streaming giant’s top 10 in over 50 countries. The platform with the red N had then decided to make a second season for this Japanese series less than 15 days after its launch. Since then, fans have been patiently waiting for the airing date of these new episodes.
While many viewers thought that Alice in Borderland season 2 would be released in the summer of 2021, because of the many billboards highlighting this period in the final scene, it was not the case. But the wait is coming to an end soon! This Wednesday March 30, 2022, Netflix revealed on its social networks that the series created by Shinsuke Sato (Bleach) would be back in December 2022 on its platform.
The streaming giant also released a video in which the actors and actresses of season 2 talk about what they felt during the shooting of this new episodes. We find in this video familiar faces from the first season: Kento Yamazaki (Arisu), Tao Tsuchiya (Usagi), Nijirô Murakami (Chishiya), Ayaka Miyoshi (Ann), Dôri Sakurada (Nigari), Aya Asahina (Kuina), Sho Aoyagi (Aguni) and Riisa Naka (Mira).
As a reminder, Alice in Borderland centers on Arisu, a young man with a passion for video games who finds himself and his friends thrust into a empty alternate Tokyo where they must overcome various challenges to survive.
