The cast of Grey’s Anatomy is still growing. After announcing Adelaide Kane (Reign), Midori Francis (Dash & Lily), Alexis Floyd (Inventing Anna) and Niko Terho (Sno Babies), the production has made official the arrival of an additional resident who will be played by Harry Shum Jr.
Known for his roles on Glee and Shadowhunters, the actor will portray Daniel “Blue” Kwan, a surgical resident who joins Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital after the hospital is ordered to overhaul its teaching program.
Described as quick-witted, impatient and brilliant, Daniel “Blue” Kwan has had to deal with a family crisis that has disrupted his career plans. Generous by nature, he is also highly competitive, naturally gifted and used to winning all the time.
The character played by Harry Shum Jr. will be introduced in the 19th season of Grey’s Anatomy, which will air on ABC starting October 6, 2022.
Will Harry Shum Jr., a regular at Shadowhunters conventions, also succumb to the call of Grey’s Anatomy conventions? Will he have the opportunity to make new Shadowhunters conventions in spite of the shooting ? We will have to wait and see.
