After a first single that broke all records, Olivia Rodrigo is back with a new track: deja vu. This song, co-written with Dan Nigro, is the logical continuation of Drivers License released last January.
For Rolling Stones, Olivia Rodrigo reflects on the genesis of the song, “I’m really obsessed with the concept of deja vu and I think it’s such a cool, psychedelic, awesome thing. Sometimes when you break up with someone and watch them live the life they lived [with you] with another partner, that can be really frustrating. I think that’s a universal, relatable thing that happens.”
The lyrics of deja vu support the words of Olivia Rodrigo since the actress and singer question during the song her former partner to know if his new girlfriend knows that everything they do, they have done before. This concept of deja vu is reinforced by the Official Video itself that we let you discover below.
At the time of writing, the video has been viewed over 18 million times on YouTube. The deja vu song is also in the top of the different streaming platforms but still has a long way to go to reach the billion listens of Drivers License.
Olivia Rodrigo will release her first album, *O*R, on May 21. It is already possible to pre-order it on the official website of the singer.
