While Zack Snyder revealed his movie Army of the Dead on Netfllix last May, it’s now the turn of another member of the DC Extended Universe to make his debut on the streaming service. Indeed, on August 20, Jason Momoa, the actor who plays Aquaman, will be on the platform for the release of Sweet Girl.
Directed by Brian Andrew Mendoza, this movie tells the story Ray Cooper (Jason Momoa), a man in mourning after the death of his wife, who vows to denounce the practices of a large pharmaceutical company that withdrew from the market a drug that could have saved her. In his quest for the truth, he will have to do everything to escape a manhunt while trying to protect the only family he has left: his daughter Rachel (Isabela Marced).
The cast also includes Adria Arjona (Good Omens), Justin Bartha (The Good Fight), Amy Brenneman (Private Practice), Manuel Garcia-Rulfo (From Dusk Till Dawn), Raza Jaffrey (Lost in Space), Lex Scott Davis (Rebel) and Michael Raymond-James (Terriers).
