Millie Bobby Brown will take a break from the Demogorgon and the various monsters of the Upside Down to tackle a new creature, a dragon, for the movie Damsel. Expected on Netflix in 2024, the feature film by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 Weeks Later) is revealed through a first trailer released at Geeked Week 2023.
The actress, who is ready to move on from Stranger Things, plays Princess Elodie, a docile young woman who agrees to marry a handsome prince before realizing that the royal family has decided to sacrifice her to pay off an ancient debt. Thrown into a cave where a dragon lives, she must rely on her wits and courage to survive.
Joining Millie Bobby Brown are Robin Wright (House of Cards), Shohreh Aghdashloo (The Expanse), Angela Bassett (9-1-1) and Nick Robinson (Love, Victor).
