After casting its heroine in the person of Leslie Grace, the Batgirl movie has found the actor who will play its main villain. According to information from Deadline, the choice of Warner Bros and DC has fallen on Brendan Fraser, an actor who is already part of the DC family since he plays Robotman, a superhero of the Doom Patrol, since 2019.
Brendan Fraser will thus temporarily abandon his superhero costume to take on the role of a super-villain. But in which role? According to the sources of the American media, the actor could play Firefly, an enemy of Batman, wearing a suit equipped with a real arsenal, including a flamethrower, and wings allowing him to fly.
The movie, which is scheduled to air exclusively on HBO Max, will focus on Barbara Gordon (Leslie Grace) aka Batgirl. The script will be written by Christina Hodson (Birds of Prey: Harley Quinn) and directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, the duo behind Bad Boys for Life.
