For its third season, set to premiere on AMC and AMC+ on June 7, 2026, the AMC series is undergoing a symbolic title change: Interview with the Vampire becomes The Vampire Lestat, a direct homage to Anne Rice’s novel that followed Interview with the Vampire in The Vampire Chronicles series.
Lestat, the immortal rock star
This season places Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid) at the center of a frenetic rock tour, haunted by the “muses” of a past that is as tumultuous as it is rebellious. As his band’s popularity and influence grow, Lestat finds himself at the center of the Great Conversion, a sudden and unusual surge in the vampire population. Other vampires and humans must now come to terms with this growing power.
Sam Reid is reunited this season with Jacob Anderson, Assad Zaman, Eric Bogosian, and Delainey Hayles, while Jennifer Ehle (Lioness) joins the cast to portray a new character in the saga.
A single before the release
To coincide with Season 3, AMC and Lakeshore Records have unveiled “All Fall Down,” the second official rock single from The Vampire Lestat, now available on Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music. Composed by Daniel Hart and performed by Sam Reid himself, the track follows “Long Face,” the first single released recently.
Daniel Hart describes the track as “the title track for the new season and the idea for a song by the Vampire Lestat from early in the band’s life.” According to him, All Fall Down reflects a period when the band was still trying to define its sound, before Lestat began exploring other musical styles. “With ‘All Fall Down’, we tried to capture the overall feeling of this new Lestat we get to know better and better throughout the season: more wild, more raw, more self-deprecatingly funny than ever before”, concludes Daniel Hart.
