2022 blew away many fans of small-screen entertainment with all the amazing and thrilling TV shows it gifted our screens. However, 2023 has refused to be left in the shadows of the remarkable year 2022. The year kicked off vibrantly with the premiere of HBO’s adaptation of The Last of US, which stars Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, thrilling viewers with an unlikely cast. Then came Peacock’s throwback mystery Poker Face and the seemingly unending Star Wars universes on Disney+.

According to reports and insights from our author, Aleksandra Andrishak and team of Slotsjudge slot experts that also enjoy indulging in TV series, new seasons of already existing shows like Warrior are on their way, not forgetting that so many titles are either unannounced or yet-to-be-confirmed. Of course, this list of the most anticipated TV shows of 2023 is bound to change. However, it’s absolutely time to begin prioritizing things you’ll want to set apart time for in the next five-and-half months.

1. I’m a Virgo (Out on Prime Video, June 23)

Boots Riley hits the screens with his first since the satirical sci-fi Sorry to Bother You with I’m a Virgo. Riley’s soon-to-be-released production stars Emmy award-winning Jharrel Jerome and a 13-foot-tall 19-year-old Black based in Oakland, CA. With other amazing casts like Walton Goggins, Carmen Ejogo, and Mile Epps, I’m a Virgo promises to be adventurous.

2. Warrior Season 3 (Out on Max, June 29)

Arguably the best action show on TV, Warrior returns with its third season, adapting Bruce Lee’s fifty-year-old concept. Set during the 1870s in San Francisco, Warriors stars a young man in search of his sister while navigating through gang war conflicts. Jonathan Tropper, famous for Banshee, created Warrior and will debut the series for the first time on Max this June.

3. Futurama (Out on Hulu, July 24)

Futurama returns to the screens with 20 new episodes this summer. Initial reports predicted that Bender voice actor John DiMaggio won’t be joining the show. DiMaggio later announced in March he’ll be starring on set. Viewers won’t watch Futurama without Dr. Zoidberg, Billy West, and several other characters.

4. Ahsoka (Out on Disney Plus, August 23)

The most popular animated Jedi from Star Wars is finally having its live-action show after becoming viral on season 2 of The Mandalorian. Ahsoka stars alongside other renowned animated faces from the Star Wars universe, like Ezra Bridger and Sabine Wren. Who knows? This series might just be entertaining and rewarding for animated series fans in the second half of the year.

5. The Continental (September TBA, Peacock)

A spinoff of John Wick, the Continental focuses on the hotel’s early days, with a most mythical and memorable setting in an action-packed series. Colin Woodwell, who featured excellently in Season 1 of The Flight Attendant, replicates Ian McShane’s character as a young Winston Scott. The Continental seemingly promises to be a handful for lovers of action TV series.

6. X-Men ’97 (Anticipated on Disney Plus, Fall 2023)

Since X-Men first premiered decades ago, praises haven’t stopped pouring in for the Animated Series, with its clever adaptation of highly political X-Men plots. True fans of the X-Men animated series couldn’t possibly ignore how the show’s bigotry mutants face mirrors various oppressed populations in the real world.

Anyway, X-Men ’97 remains a show kids couldn’t hate with a few skippable episodes. However, you can’t ignore the fact that the Animated Series is the only adaptation that depicts Storm as the heavy-hitting powerhouse the comic books have always represented.

Conclusion

From family series on Netflix to talk shows on Apple TB+ or legendary animations on Disney+, you have multiple options to explore.
