Since the announcement of the cancellation of Station 19 last Saturday, the fans did not settle for saying goodbye to their favorite characters. On the contrary, they decided to muster all the courage and fight for keeping the successful show – Grey’s Anatomy’s spin-off.

The fans launched hashtags #SaveStation19 and #DoNotCancelStation19, but that is not all. A petition is spreading, bound for the broadcasting network ABC, but also to big streaming groups such as Disney+ and Netflix, in the hope that they take the show. Three days after the launch of the petition, more than 25 000 persons already signed it.

Station 19 is not only a show. For some, it’s the image they need to feel represented. To be able to relate to a character allows you to be at ease with yourself and accept yourself as you are. And that is the matter for the fans who do not want to see the representativeness offered by Station 19 stop.

The fans insist on the fact that it is not the first time a show is canceled, and it manages to get saved thanks to the support of the fandom. So to go further, the most invested launch calls for help to personalities like the singer Fletcher, or journalists who already talked about the show or interviewed one of the actors like Kristyn Burtt and Tommy DiDario.

But the fans are not the only ones surprised by this news. Station 19’s team, the actors as well as the crew showed their astonishment at this sudden announcement.

And some of the writers, producers and directors like Paris Barklay, Peter Paige and David Greenspan even encouraged the fans to fight for the upholding of the show, and shared the link to the petition.

The fight is just starting, and the fans really intend to continue until they win the case. The support towards the actors, Danielle Savre, Stefania Spampinato, Barrett Doss and all the others never have been so intense. And if the fans could send a message to them, it would be “We are behind you !”
