Prodigal Son: cancellation of the series after 2 seasons

Prodigal Son, the series created by Chris Fedak (Chuck) and Sam Saklaver (Deception), will not have a third season.

Indeed, FOX announced that the series, starring Tom Payne (Malcolm Bright), Michael Sheen (Martin Whitly), Bellamy Young (Jessica Withly), Halston Sage (Ainsley Whitly), Lou Diamond Phillips (Gil Arroyo), Aurora Perrineau (Dani Powell) and Frank Harts (JT Tarmel), will stop after season 2, due to a lack of ratings. The episode 13, aired on May 18, 2021 in the United States, will be the last one of this series.

Malcolm Bright was a profiler of the FBI. After being fired, he becomes a consultant for the police of New York. He is the son of a serial killer known as the Surgeon. To help the police and put away serial killers, Malcolm is forced to confront his father, whom he hasn’t seen in 10 years, and to confront his past.
