Fans of Alice in Borderland have had to be patient, but their wait will finally be rewarded. As Netflix announced on its social networks, the series adapted from Haro Asō‘s manga will return for a third season in September 2025, almost three years after season two aired.

As hinted at in last season’s finale, the Joker card will be at the heart of this new salvo of episodes. The question now is: will season 3 adapt the two-volume manga Alice in Borderland Retry, or will series director Shinsuke Sato and his team come up with an original story? For the moment, the first images released by Netflix Japan do not allow us to know exactly.
In Alice in Borderland Retry, Arisu once again finds himself trapped in Borderland after an accident and must do whatever it takes to survive and return to his pregnant wife. A plot that could be a good starting point for Season 3 of the Netflix series, which will see Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya reprise their roles as Arisu and Usagi. While we wait to find out more about Alice in Borderland Season 3, you can watch the first two seasons again on the streaming platform.
