“Sweet Tooth”: the comic book will be coming to Netflix soon.

Created by Jeff Lemire, the comic “Sweet Tooth” will become an original Netflix series. It is the studio Team Downey of Robert Downey Jr. who is in charge of the production.

A new comic adaptation is in the works for Netflix! After “The Magic Order”, “Vertigo” and “Sandman”, it’s Jeff Lemire‘s turn to be in the spotlight for the streaming giant. Robert Downey Jr. and Susan Downey will be producing the show “Sweet Tooth” through their Steam Downey studio, while Jim Mickle will be directing. While no release date has been announced yet, we already know that Christian Convery, James Brolin, Nonso Anozie and Adeel Akhtar will be part of the cast.

A big project under construction

“Sweet Tooth” is a saga set in a post-apocalyptic future in which a virus has killed billions of people. The only children born since then have come from a new race that is halfway between man and animal. Gus is one of them. He lived with his father in a cabin isolated from the world, but is forced to leave after his father’s death to discover his true origins. Odds are the story will find an audience.
