Freeform has reserved a nice surprise for fans of Motherland: Fort Salem by revealing the comeback date of the series on its social networks.

The season 2 will be on the American channel from June 22, 2021. It will also be available the next day on Hulu, also in the United States. In France, no date has yet been revealed. However, the first season is now available on Amazon Prime Video.

If you’re not familiar with Motherland: Fort Salem, you should know that the series takes place in an alternate America where witches made a deal with the government 300 years ago to stop being persecuted. In exchange, they train and fight to defend the country.

If the end of the first season brought some answers, it also raised new questions that season 2 will have to answer.

As a reminder, at the end of season 1 of Motherland: Fort Salem, Tally (Jessica Sutton) “sacrificed” herself to save General Alder (Lyne Renée) while Raelle (Taylor Hickson) and Abigail (Ashley Nicole Williams) were left behind in the Altai Mountains. In addition, a new threat, the Camarilla, emerged and Scylla (Amalia Holm) joined the person who had ordered Raelle’s kidnapping earlier in the season, Raelle’s mother, who was thought to have died years earlier on the battlefield.
