Amazon Prime Video loves violent superheroes. After The Boys, assured to come back for a season 3, it’s the turn of Invincible, another bloody superheroic series, to see its adventure extended on the platform.

Even before the airing of the last episode of season 1, scheduled for this Friday, April 30, 2021, Amazon Prime Video has decided to offer two more seasons to the animated series of Robert Kirkman, Ryan Ottley and Cory Walker. A good news that Robert Kirkman, also at the origin of the eponymous comic book, was quick to share with Steven Yeun, the actor who lends his voice to the character of Mark Grayson.

In a press release, Robert Kirkman stated: “I’m extremely thankful to Amazon for the support and dedication they’ve put behind Invincible. The comic book is truly a love letter to a genre that Cory (Walker) and I grew up reading and loving, and it’s been a gratifying journey to watch our characters come to life again through the animated series. We’re beyond excited to continue this story for at least two more seasons.

In addition to Steven Yeun, the voice cast of Invincible includes J.K. Simmons (Nolan Grayson / Omni-Man), Sandra Oh (Debbie Grayson), Zazie Beetz (Amber Bennett), Grey Griffin (Monster Girl), Walton Goggins (Cecil Stedman), Gillian Jacobs (Atom Eve), Andrew Rannells (William Clockwell) or Zachary Quinto (Robot).
