Amazon Prime Video is optimistic about its superhero series The Boys and proves it again by giving the series an early renewal. An announcement that was made by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, executive producers of the series, during The Boys panel at Comic-Con@Home (see the panel below). The strategy of the e-commerce giant’s streaming platform is not surprising since it had already been used last year for Season 2. Moreover, there had already been repeated rumors about this renewal for several months. Rumors that have been confirmed by the main parties involved.

The superheroes of Vought International, with their very particular ethical standards, will have to deal with our group of mercenaries again in new episodes. For the moment, no airing date has been announced, but Season 3 is expected to be released in the second half of 2021 if Amazon Prime Video continues to follow the same strategy used for the first two seasons.

As a reminder, season 2 is expected to air on Amazon Prime Video from September 4. The first three episodes will be available on that date. The remaining episodes will air every Friday. In this new batch of episodes, Butcher (Karl Urban), Hughie (Jack Quaid), Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara), Frenchie (Tomer Capon) and Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso) will be wanted dead or alive all over the United States. Additionally, the superhero group The Seven will welcome a new recruit: Stormfront (Aya Cash).
