During a visit to Paris in June 2023, Jessica Capshaw spoke of her desire to see what had become of Arizona Robbins, her character on Grey’s Anatomy. A few months later, her wish is about to come true, as the actress has been announced as a cast member for the twentieth season of the ABC medical drama.
While the exact terms of her return are not known, fans will be excited to see a character whose departure came as a big surprise at the time. Will this return also reveal what has become of Callie in recent years? We’ll have to wait until Season 20 premieres on March 14 on ABC.
Alex Landi also back, two new characters announced
Along with the announcement of Jessica Capshaw‘s return, ABC also revealed that Alex Landi will be returning to Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital to reprise his role as Nico Kim. A character he played multiple times over four seasons. As with Jessica Capshaw, the storyline surrounding his return is unknown, as is the number of episodes he will appear in.
While fans will be excited to see these familiar faces, they will also be introduced to newcomers played by Natalie Morales and Freddy Miyares. The former will play the role of Monica, whose pragmatism and level-headedness have made her one of the best in her field. Her willingness to push boundaries is both admirable and infuriating, but her goal is always to provide quality care to her patients. Freddy Miyares will play Dorian, “an intelligent, warm and likable patient who is involved in a serious accident and is struggling with his future.”
