HBO’s flagship series from 2011 to 2019, Game of Thrones, disappointed many fans with its eighth and final six-episode season. While the end of David Benioff and D.B. Weiss‘ series has divided its most ardent fans, it has also left Tom Wlaschiha, who played Jaqen H’ghar, with mixed feelings.

One of the possible endings of Game of Thrones

Present in Paris for the 33rd edition of the Paris Manga & Sci-Fi Show, Tom Wlaschiha was asked during one of his panels about his feelings on the end of Game of Thrones. Like many, his feelings are mixed.

After answering with a “no comment”, Jaqen H’ghar’s actor wanted to clarify his words: “Personally, I’m not a big fan of the last season, but on the other hand, it was incredibly hard for the producers and writers to finish up this story because there were so many storylines and I think it’s one of the possible endings.” Tom Wlaschiha adds: “For me, it was okay, you know. But could it have been better ? For sure. Could it have been worse ? I think that, too.”

The final six episodes of Game of Thrones, which aired between April 15, 2019 and May 19, 2019, are the lowest rated episodes of the series by IMDB users. While the show has received scores above 8 out of 10 throughout its run, the first episode of season 8 received a 7.6 out of 10, and the scores have only declined with each episode. The Iron Throne, the much-criticized final episode, failed to reach the average, receiving a 4 out of 10 with over 250,000 votes.
