Chandler Kinney and Maia Reficco chosen for the reboot of Pretty Little liars

Announced last September, the reboot of the series Pretty Little Liars goes one step further and reveals the first names of its cast.

Entitled Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, this reboot will star Chandler Kinney (Lethal Weapon) and Maia Reficco (Kally’s Mashup). The first one will play Tabby, an aspiring director and horror film enthusiast, while the second will play Noa, a brilliant and sarcastic track star who is trying to get back to a normal life after spending a summer in juvenile detention.

This new version developed by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Riverdale) and Lindsay Calhoon Bring (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) is intended to be darker than the original series. It will be set in Millwood, a working class town that was affected by tragic events twenty years earlier. It will follow a group of teenage girls who find themselves tormented by an unknown assailant and who must pay for their sins but also for those committed by their parents twenty years ago.

The series is set to begin shooting this summer under the direction of Lisa Soper (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina). Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin is scheduled to air on HBO Max at a date yet to be determined.
