For several months, fans have been waiting to know the names of the actresses chosen to play the mother and sister of Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse) in Riverdale. Their patience was rewarded at the Comic Con in New York. During the American event held from October 4 to 7, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa gave some news and told, who the performers of Gladys and Jellybean Jones were going to be.
To interpret the mother of the young man, the choice of the production was on Gina Gershon. The actress is known for her roles in Showgirls, Lost in Oz, Red Oaks and Cleaners. Gladys is described as a businesswoman running a garage that is sometimes used by the Snakes. As a gang member, she knows how to make herself respected and leads a group of teenagers who steal car parts for her.
Jellybean will be played by Trinity Likins. It will be her third role after playing in the TV movie 12 Days and in the mini-series Unspeakable. Jellybean is described as a wise child but following in the footsteps of her mother as a scoundrel.
Both mother and daughter live in Toledo but will be back in Riverdale for the December 12th episode on the CW.
