Only a few days after the end of Sarah Drew‘s contract with Grey’s Anatomy, were she played April Kepner for 9 seasons, was announced, the actress was chosen to play the part of Cagney, who was orignially played by Sharon Gless. At her side, Michelle Hurd, that we know for her role of Shepherd in Blindspot, will play the part of Lacey, originally played by Tyne Daly.
Like in the original version of the show, in this reboot we’ll follow the life of two detectives who try to make Los Angeles’ streets a safer place. However there will be some modifications in comparison to the original show. For exemple, in the reboot, Lacey will be portrayed as an African American character.
It’s Bridget Carpenter, who worked on Dead Like Me and 11.22.63, who’ll take care of the scenario for the reboot. Meanwhile, Rosemary Rodriguez, who worked on many shows like The Walking Dead, Castle or Jessica Jones, will be the show’s director.
Fans are already thrilled to see Sarah Drew again on a TV Show. We’ll just have to wait and see if this umpteenth reboot will be worth watching.
