Netflix surprises us once more. The streaming service just signed up with Higher Ground Productions which is the company of Barack Obama, former president of the United-States, and his wife Michelle. This deal should last a few years according to a statement made by Netflix.
Michelle Obama announced, in this same statement, that “Netflix is the ideal plateform for the kind of story that we want to share and we’re eager to further develop this partnership.” The produced content help to “hear the voices of inspired and creative people who have at heart to promote empathy and favorise comprehension between people as well as helping them make their stories known by the whole world.”
Ted Sarandos, content director for the SVOD website, declared proudly that the couple “chose Netflix giving a voice to these stories”.
