Archer and his sidekicks will be back for new adventures on FXX. Indeed, the American network has officially ordered a 13th season of its Emmy Award-winning animated series.

Nick Grad, president of original programming at FX, said: “Archer remains one of FX’s signature series and we are happy to extend its legacy with another globetrotting season. Like Sterling Archer himself, Adam Reed, Matt Thompson, Casey Willis and the entire team at Floyd County Productions are endlessly creative and always find a way to surpass themselves. Our thanks to them and the incredible voice cast who keep this fan favorite spy comedy as fresh and exciting as ever.”

Season 12, which ended this Wednesday, October 7, 2021, was highlighted by the farewell to a fan-loved character, Malory Archer. As a reminder, the actress who played Malory, Jessica Walter, passed away last March and the creative team did not want to recast the role and offered the character an ending that should satisfy the greatest number.

Season 13 (8 episodes), will see the return to the voice cast: H. Jon Benjamin (Sterling Archer), Aisha Tyler (Lana Kane), Judy Greer (Cheryl/Carol Tunt), Chris Parnell (Cyril Figgis), Amber Nash (Pam Poovey), Adam Reed (Ray Gillette) and Lucky Yates (Krieger). These new episodes will have to deal with the consequences of the finale of season 12 and in particular the impact that it will have on Archer.
