Archer is finally coming out of his coma and is about to resume his old life (or so it seems). After the teaser screening of season 11 at the San Diego Comic Con 2019, Casey Willis, an Executive Producer, used the virtual panel at Comic-Con@Home 2020 to reveal the airing date of the new season. Archer will be back on September 16, 2020 on FXX and the very next day on FX on Hulu.

Archer season 11 was initially scheduled for May before having to be rescheduled due to some production problems related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In these new episodes, Archer (H. Jon Benjamin) will have to deal with a new dynamic operating within the spy agency run by his mother (Jessica Walter). Struggling with physical issues, Archer will now require a cane to complete his missions, while Cyril Figgis (Chris Parnell) displays a new physique. An ironic turn of events for the man who considered himself to be the best secret agent in the world and who made every effort to belittle Cyril Figgis because of his lack of strength.

More surprises are in store for Archer during Season 11, such as the implementation of a policy banning alcohol during missions. A particularly difficult new rule for our secret agent to accept, just as the trailer reveals.

Archer’s season 11 will also be the occasion to welcome two major guest stars: Simon Pegg and Jamie Lee Curtis. Jamie Lee Curtis is a big fan of the series, as Judy Greer, Cheryl Tunt’s voice actor, who co-starred with Jamie Lee Curtis on Halloween, said: “She and her son really bond over Archer; they watch it all time and it’s his favorite show. She loves it, it’s one of her favorite shows“.
