Arcane, the animated series based on the League of Legends video game, has quickly won over Netflix subscribers. And good news for them, the adventure is not going to stop there.

Riot Games, the publisher of League of Legends, and Netflix have indeed made it official that Arcane Season 2 is currently in production. Hailee Steinfeld (Vi), Ella Purnell (Jinx) and Katie Leung (Caitlyn) will return to their roles in the upcoming season.

In a statement, Christian Linke and Alex Yee, the creators of the series said they were “beyond happy about the positive response to Arcane‘s first season and are working hard with the creative wizards at Riot and Fortiche to deliver our second installment”

If this news will delight the fans of the series, they will have to be patient before discovering the next episodes of Arcane.

Nicolo Laurent, CEO of Riot Games, said that season 2 would not be on our screens in 2022. On the positive side (if it doesn’t affect the quality): he assures that the production of these new episodes won’t take as long as the first season (6 years).

While waiting for Arcane Season 2, you can still play League of Legends and play as one of the characters from the series. No doubt you won’t be the only one to take the leap.
