The New York adventures of Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) aren’t over yet.
Originally planned as a miniseries, the Sex and the City sequel And Just Like That will return for a third season. The renewal was made official shortly before the end of the second season. The finale was marked by a brief appearance by Kim Catrall, the indispensable Samantha in the Sex and the City series.
Explaining the renewal, Sarah Aubrey, Max’s Head of Original Content, revealed that And Just Like That is the most watched original series on Max. For his part, Michael Patrick King, showrunner of Sex and the City and its sequel, expressed his excitement to “spend more time in the Sex And The City universe telling new stories about the lives of these relatable and aspirational characters played by these amazing actors.”
At the time of writing, the release date for Season 3 is unknown.
