According to the information published by the Hollywood Reporter, Hilary Duff could soon be the star of a Younger spin-off centered on her character as Kelsey Peters.
Also, according to the American media, ViacomCBS would work on this project with Darren Star, creator not only of Younger but also of Sex and the City, 90210 and Melrose Place (2009). Currently, there are no networks involved in this project but the series could be released on Paramout Network. A choice that makes sense since Younger was very close to being broadcasted on this channel.
For those unfamiliar with Younger, the series follows Liza (Sutton Foster), a 40-year-old recently divorced mother who decides to lie about her age in order to find a job. With a bit of luck and the advice of her best friend, she manages to look 15 years younger and lands a job in the publishing industry. Kelsey Peters, the character played by Hilary Duff, is one of Liza’s colleagues and will gradually become one of her close friends.
Although this project has enough to excite the fans of Younger, one question remains: how could the writers explain the departure of Kelsey Peters, the central character of the series since its premiere in 2015?
