A few months after a first teaser at New York Comic Con 2023, the feature film The Strangers reveals a little more with an official trailer. Watch it now.

Twenty years after directing a prequel to The Exorcist that was poorly received by audiences and critics, Renny Harlin is tackling another classic of the horror genre with a reboot of The Strangers. All in the hope that this project, conceived as a trilogy, will perform better at the box office.

Expected to hit U.S. theaters on May 17, 2024, The Strangers will follow Maya (Madelaine Petsch) and Ryan (Froy Gutierrez), a young couple who are forced to stop at an isolated AirBnB in the woods while on a road trip across the United States. But what was supposed to be a romantic trip soon turns into a nightmare when Maya and Ryan fall prey to mysterious masked strangers.

The first opus, whose trailer can be seen below, will be faithful to the original film, the director said at New York Comic Con 2023. Madelaine Petsch (Riverdale) and Froy Gutierrez (Teen Wolf) will be joined by Rachel Shenton (All Creatures Great & Small), Gabriel Basso (The Night Agent), Ema Horvath (The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power), Richard Brake (Game of Thrones) and Ella Bruccoleri (Call the Midwife).
