On the eve of Halloween, Paramount Pictures and Spyglass treated fans to a seasonal delight with the release of the trailer for Scream 7, in which Sidney Prescott, played by Neve Campbell, makes her big comeback. Absent from the sixth installment, Woodsboro’s iconic survivor is set to confront the fearsome Ghostface in a new chapter, which is set to premiere in theaters on February 27, 2026.

This new episode, directed by Kevin Williamson—writer of the first film and longtime producer of the franchise—promises a family nightmare. Just as Sidney is finally leading a peaceful life, she sees her past catch up with her when Ghostface decides to target her daughter, Tatum (Isabel May). Determined to protect her, Sidney must dive back into the horror she thought she had left behind. Fortunately, she can count on Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox), who is always ready to uncover the identity of the killer.

The film will also reunite Jasmin Savoy Brown (Mindy Meeks-Martin) and Mason Gooding (Chad Meeks-Martin), who survived the fifth and sixth installments. Matthew Lillard (Stu Macher), Scott Foley (Roman Bridger), and David Arquette (Dewey Riley) are also listed in the credits, despite their characters dying in previous films.

New faces include Anna Camp (Pitch Perfect), Joel McHale (Community), McKenna Grace (The Haunting of Hill House), Michelle Randolph (1923), Jimmy Tatro (Home Economics), Asa Germann (Gen-V), Celeste O’Connor (Ghostbusters: Afterlife), Sam Rechner (Heartbreak High), Ethan Embry (Grace and Frankie), Timothy Simons (Nobody Wants This), and Mark Consuelos (Riverdale).

While the trailer already hints at several nods to the earlier films, one thing is certain: the cat-and-mouse game between Sidney and Ghostface is far from over.
