Spyglass Media Group and Paramount Pictures continue to add to the cast of the seventh movie of the Scream saga. As announced in recent days, two new actors have joined the cast of the film, marking the return of Neve Campbell as Sidney Bristow.
Scream 7 will also feature McKenna Grace and Sam Rechner. The former is no stranger to the horror genre, having appeared in The Haunting of Hill House, Annabelle Comes Home, Amityville: The Awakening and Malignant. The latter is known for his roles in The Fabelmans and Heartbreak High.
As with previous announcements, the roles they will be playing are being kept under wraps.
Mason Gooding back in Scream 7
While the cast of Scream 7 will include several new faces, fans of the saga will be able to reunite with one of the key actors from the last two films. According to Variety, Mason Gooding has signed on to reprise his role as Chad Meeks-Martin in the Kevin Williamson-directed film. Jasmin Savoy Brown, who plays Chad’s sister Mindy, has not yet officially signed on to return to the saga.
As a reminder, Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega, who completed the quartet of survivors formed with Mason Gooding and Jasmin Savoy Brown, will not be returning to Scream 7. Melissa Barrera was removed from the film after posting on social networks about the conflict between Israel and Hamas, while Jenna Ortega skipped the film due to scheduling conflicts.
