Shopping is enjoyed by millions of people worldwide; some do it for business, others do it for pleasure, and some prefer online shopping. No matter how you look at it, the retail industry booms every year, especially on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Some people may need mood-setting scenes filled with shopping bags, makeovers, dressing rooms, and card swipes before clearing their schedule and heading out on a shopping spree.

This article created by https://frequent-ads.com/meijer has listed some of the best shopping scenes in movies in honor of retail madness.

Home Alone (1990)

Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) is an eight-year-old who experiences being home alone over Christmas. Kevin is now the man of the house and went shopping (using coupons) for groceries, only to raise the suspicion of the store clerk. The scene is one of the most memorable in the movie and plays out like this:

Check-Out Clerk

Are you here all by yourself?

Kevin McCallister

Madam, I’m eight years old. Do you think I would be here ALONE? I don’t think so.

Superbad (2007)

Seth (Jonah Hill) and Evan (Michael Cera) are two inseparable best friends who go shopping for jeans. Seth’s responsibility is to inform Evan that those pants are “way too tight…” male camel toe jokes aside.

Pretty Woman (1990)

Vivian (Julia Roberts) is a hooker hired to spend a few days with a wealthy businessman named Edward (Richard Gere). This movie has one of the most memorable montages filmed in a changing room.

Vivian hits Rodeo Drive, where shopping clerks judge her before undergoing a monumental fashion metamorphosis set to the movie’s titular song. This scene will linger in our minds forever, and Vivian’s confidence shines through fantastically.

Confessions of a Shopaholic (2009)

What would this list be without a movie with the word “shop” in its title? Confessions of a Shopaholic is a funny movie directed by PJ Hogan and has quite a few comical scenes.

Throughout the movie, you see Rebecca Bloomwood (Isla Fisher) shop multiple times. In the film, there is a scene where Rebecca feasts her eyes on a pair of Gucci boots and then tackles them away from another frantic shopper. That is by far one of the most memorable scenes in the movie, but you can be sure to find more when you re-watch it.

Elf (2003)

After discovering that he is not an elf and being told Santa Claus adopted him, Buddy (Will Ferrell) travels from the North Pole to New York City, searching for his biological father. This movie is based around Christmas time, and of course, the shops are busy.

It is the first time that Buddy is visiting a mall, and needless to say, escalators are fascinating to him. When he walks into Gimble’s toy store for the first time, it is the most exciting thing ever; he cannot contain his excitement and runs around like a little child.

Conclusion

There are so many excellent shopping scenes in movies that it was challenging to choose these top five. We hope that you enjoyed this list and had a good laugh. May it’s time to go back and re-watch some of these classics.
