Originally intended for Hulu, “The Mysterious Benedict Society” is moving to Disney+. Being an authentic family series, this new show will find a better home on Mickey’s platform where it can appeal to both younger and older viewers.

It was supposed to be broadcast on Hulu, but in the end, it will be quite different; “The Mysterious Benedict Society”, an adventure series starring Tony Hale, will definitely be available on Disney+. This young adult novel was written by Trenton Lee Stewart in 2007 and tells the story of four gifted orphans who are recruited by an eccentric benefactor known as Mr. Benedict.

A well-known cast

But why did everything change? According to Dana Walden, Chairman of Entertainment, Walt Disney Television, the adaptation of the book series is ideal for the platform because it’s enjoyable for the whole family. The series, created by Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi, will be released in 2021. Viewers will get to see well-known TV celebrities such as Ryan Hurst (The Walking Dead) and Kristen Schaal (Last Man On Earth) in this new adaptation. All we have to do now is be patient.
