[Video] Station 19: Stefania Spampinato and Danielle Savre imagine Carina and Maya as mothers

Danielle Savre and Stefania Spampinato, who play Maya Bishop and Carina DeLuca on Station 19, gathered in Paris for the First Responders Reunion convention, where they took part in numerous activities to the delight of fans of the series. This included a panel where the two actresses were asked about a variety of topics. Here’s a look back at one of the questions about the couple’s future.

Cool or strict moms?

As you no doubt know, Maya and Carina have been trying to have a child since the end of Season 5, even turning to Jack (Grey Damon) as a donor at one point. But one season later, they still haven’t had the joy of becoming mothers. But if they did, who do they think would be the cool mom and who would get to be the tough mom?

Stefania Spampinato is the first to answer the question, saying that she thinks most people expect Carina to be the patient mom and Maya to be the strict one, but she doesn’t want that.

The actress points out that people who are eager to have a baby often have very high expectations and don’t necessarily realize the reality of having a young child. Carina may fall into this pattern, and Maya, who has far fewer expectations about the baby, may turn out to be a better mother. Danielle Savre, for her part, hopes that will be the case and that her character won’t repeat the same mistakes her father made.
