After a particularly well-received first season, The Wheel of Time will look to build on its success with Season 2. The eight-episode series will be available on Prime Video on September 1, 2023, nearly two years after the first season’s release.
The series adaptation of Robert Jordan‘s work follows Rand al’Thor (Josha Stradowski), a farm boy who learns that he is the Dragon Reincarnated, a dangerous figure in history destined to save or destroy the world. Eager to protect him from the Dark One, an army of powerful witches must contend with his growing power and burgeoning madness.
Just when Rand thought he had destroyed the Dark One, Season 2 of The Wheel of Time confirms that evil has not gone away, and that dark forces are searching for the young friends of the Two Rivers, now scattered across the globe. Moreover, the woman who found and guided them is now powerless to help them. So they must find other sources of strength, whether in themselves or in their companions, in the light… or in the dark.
The cast of The Wheel of Time series includes Rosamund Pike (Moiraine Damodred), Daniel Henney (Lan Mandragoran), Zoë Robins (Nynaeve al’Meara), Madeleine Madden (Egwene al’Vere), Marcus Rutherford (Perrin Aybara), Dónal Finn (Mat Cauthon) and Ceara Coveney (Elayne Trakand).
