While the production of The Acolyte, the new Star Wars original series of Disney+, has begun in the United Kingdom, the streaming service has just revealed the names that will compose its cast.

The series created by Leslye Headland (Russian Doll) will welcome in its cast: Amandla Stenberg (Gaslight), Lee Jung-jae (Squid Game), Manny Jacinto (The Good Place), Dafne Keen (His Dark Materials), Jodie Turner-Smith (The Last Ship), Rebecca Henderson (Inventing Anna), Charlie Barnett (Russian Doll), Dean-Charles Chapman (Game of Thrones) and Carrie-Anne Moss (Matrix).

The Acolyte is described by Disney+ as a mystery-thriller that will take viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers in the final days of the High Republic era. A former Padawan reunites with her Jedi Master to investigate a series of crimes, but the forces they confront are more sinister than they ever anticipated.

No release date has been announced yet, but we do know that the series will be available exclusively on Disney+.
