The Outlander prequel Outlander: Blood Of My Blood is adding new names to its cast. As announced in recent days, Brian McCardie (Snatch), Jhon Lumsden (Karen Pirie), Sara Vickers (Endeavour) and Peter Mullan (Ozark) will join the cast of Matthew B. Roberts‘ new series.
Brian McCardie will play Isaac, the head of the Grant clan, while Jhon Lumsden will play his son Malcolm, one of Ellen MacKenzie’s (Harriet Slater) possible suitors. Sara Vickers will play Davina Porter, mother of Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy) and housekeeper of the Lovat household. Finally, Peter Mullan will play Red Jacob MacKenzie, laird of the MacKenzie clan and father of Ellen, Dougal (Sam Retford), Colum (Seamus McLean Ross), Janet and Jocasta.

Developed for the Starz channel, Outlander: Blood of My Blood will explore the lives of Jamie’s parents in the early 18th century Scottish Highlands and Claire’s parents in England during World War I.
