In 2025, the Destination Finale franchise will celebrate its 25th anniversary, and New Line will release a new movie to mark the occasion. Directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein, the sixth installment, which is currently in production, will feature a cast of mostly familiar faces from the small screen.
As revealed by The Hollywood Reporter, Final Destination: Bloodlines has already cast six of its major roles, which will be played by Owen Patrick Joyner (Julie and the Phantoms), Richard Harmon (The 100), Brec Bassinger (Stargirl), Ana Lore (Gotham Knights), Teo Briones (Chucky) and Kaitlyn Santa Juana (The Flash). The American media adds that Max Lloyd-Jones (Switched), Rya Kihlstedt (Superman and Lois) and Tinpo Lee (Kung Fu) complete the cast of this new feature film.
While plot details are not yet known, the starting point for Final Destination: Bloodlines should be the same as the previous films. In the Final Destination movies, one of the protagonists has a vision of a coming catastrophe and does everything in his power to save his loved ones from death. But Death himself is determined to reclaim the souls destined for him, and will do everything in his power to ensure that all the protagonists get to the afterlife, even if it means resorting to particularly violent stratagems.
