Two new names have been added to the cast of the House of the Dragon series. The Game of Thrones prequel, which will take place 300 years before the events we know and will revisit the history of House Targaryen, welcomes Milly Alcock (Reckoning) and Emily Carey (Casualty) to its cast.

The two actresses will play the young versions of Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen and Alicent Hightower, respectively. The adult versions will be played by Emma D’Arcy (Truth Seekers) and Olivia Cooke (Vanity Fair).

The young Princess Rhaenra Targaryen, the king’s eldest child, is of pure Valyrian blood and is a dragoness. If she seems to have all the necessary assets to lead, she is not born male.

Alicent Hightower, on the other hand, is the daughter of Otto Hightower (Rhys Ifans). Raised in the Red Keep with the king and his family, she has a keen sense of politics.

The series House of the Dragon (10 episodes) is currently in production. No air date has yet been announced by HBO.
