Sad day for the fans of the CW series. This Thursday, May 12, 2022, the American network revealed that they were cancelling seven series, some of which were particularly popular. Starting with Legacies, the spin-off of The Originals and The Vampire Diaries. The series, which can count on a solid fanbase and is regularly represented in conventions, will not have a season 5. The final episode of season 4, which will now also be the finale, will air on June 16.
Dynasty, another series with strong support, will also not be back on The CW for the 2022-2023 season. The series will end after its fifth season, which is still airing.
Fans of Charmed, In the Dark and Roswell New Mexico (series available on the American network since 4 seasons) must also say goodbye to their favorite programs. Note that the final seasons of Roswell New Mexico and In the Dark will be available from June 6, 2022. The final episode of Charmed will be broadcast on June 10.
Finally, two new shows will not go beyond their first seasons: the reboot of the series 4400 and Naomi, the adaptation of the comic books by Brian Michael Bendis and David F. Walker.
In addition to these seven cancellations were Legends of Tomorrow and Batwoman cancelled in late April. The fate of Stargirl and Tom Swift has not yet been revealed by the American network.
