This is the kind of news we like to read at Roster Con. Two convention regulars in France will join season 2 of the Why Women Kill series: Lana Parrilla and Matthew Daddario.

Why Women Kill is the series created by Marc Cherry – previously known as the producer and screenwriter of Desperate Housewives – which narrates, in season 1, the lives of three women living in the same house at three different times. These three women are played by Ginnifer Goodwin (Beth Ann Stanton), Lucy Liu (Simone Grove) and Kirby Howell-Baptiste (Taylor Harding). Broadcast in the United States on CBS All Access since summer 2019 and in France on M6 in March 2020, the series will return for a second season with a different cast that is beginning to take shape.

In fact, it has just been announced that Lana Parrilla, who played Regina Mills, the evil queen in Once Upon A Time, will be present in this second season in the role of Rita. According to Deadline, her character will be that of “the sardonic wife to the wealthy and evil Carlo Castillo. As she waits for her elderly husband to die, Rita runs the garden club with an iron fist and spends much of her time engaging in an affair with a younger lover.” Scooter, the lover, will be played by Matthew Daddario (Shadowhunters). He is a man who wants to become an actor.

So we can’t wait to see on screen these two actors, whom French fans know very well for their multiple appearances at the Once Upon A Time conventions of People Convention (and Xivents, before closing) for Lana Parrilla and the Shadowhunters conventions of Wevents Production for Matthew Daddario.

B.K. Cannon (Sin City Saints), Jordane Christie (The Haunting of Hill House)Veronica Falcón (Queen of the South)Allison Tolman (Emergence, Good Girls) and Nick Frost (Hot FuzzShaun of the Dead) are also announced in the second season.
