Friends: a first teaser and a date for the reunion

The wait is coming to an end for all Friends fans. Expected for many months, the reunion episode of the cult series, entitled “The One Where They Get Back Together”, finally has an air date. HBO Max has also revealed a first teaser that looks like one of the iconic promotional photos of the series.

A return in late May

Initially scheduled for the launch of HBO Max in the United States, and postponed due to COVID-19, the reunion episode of Friends will finally be aired one year later on the platform : on May 27, 2021. This will be a great way to celebrate the first year of HBO Max’s existence.

In this special episode of Friends we will see the return of the iconic cast: Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schimmer, to the 24 set. A place they know very well for having spent more than ten years of their lives there.

To announce the airing date, HBO Max revealed a 40-second teaser where we see the back of the six stars of Friends walking in the Warner studios.

With many guest-stars

In addition to the airing date and the trailer, HBO Max revealed the list of guests who will take part in this episode of Friends. Kevin Bright, Marta Kauffman and David Crane, creators of the series will be there, just like Elliott Gould (Jack Geller), Christina Pickles (Judy Geller), Larry Hankin (Mr. Heckles), Thomas Lennon (Randall), Tom Selleck (Dr. Richard Burke), James Michael Tyler (Gunther), Maggie Wheeler (Janice) and Reese Witherspoon (Jill Greene).

Other unexpected guest stars include David Beckham, Justin Bieber, BTS, James Corden, Cindy Crawford, Cara Delevingne, Lady Gaga, Kit Harington, Mindy Kalling and Malala Yousafzai.
