After taking a detour into Queen Charlotte’s youth in 2023, Netflix will once again explore the love life of the Bridgerton family in 2024 with the long-awaited Season 3 of its hit series based on Julia Quinn‘s books.

The new episodes will air in two installments, more than two years after the release of the second season. The first 4 episodes of Bridgerton season 3 will be available on Netflix on May 16, 2024, while the following 4 episodes will be available starting June 13, 2024. These dates were leaked on Twitter and confirmed by a teaser recently released by the streaming platform.

What will Bridgerton season 3 be about?

As long announced, Bridgerton Season 3 will focus on Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan).

The official synopsis revealed by Deadline tells us that Penelope has finally decided to find herself a husband after hearing Colin’s disparaging remarks about her in season two. She prefers a man who will allow her to maintain her independence in order to continue her double life as Lady Whistledown, but her attempts to secure a marriage proposal fail spectacularly.

Meanwhile, Colin, back from a trip, is disheartened to see Penelope, the one person who has always appreciated him for who he is, turn her back on him. Wishing to regain her friendship, he offers to help her find a husband, while questioning his own feelings for Penelope.
