Anne Rice‘s works are very popular on AMC. After Interview with the Vampire, which has been renewed for a second season, the American network will soon offer the serial adaptation of the novels composing the Mayfair Wicthes saga.
Brought to the screen by Esta Spalding (Da Vinci’s Inquest) and Michelle Ashford (Masters of Sex), this eight-episode series will follow Dr. Rowan Fielding (Alexandra Daddario), a young neurosurgeon who discovers that she is descended from a family of witches. As she learns to cope with her newfound powers, she must face the threat of a sinister presence that has haunted her family for generations.
To discover this adaptation, which also includes Harry Hamlin, Jack Huston or Tongayi Chirisa in the cast, you will have to be patient. Indeed, AMC told during the New York Comic Con 2022 that the first two episodes of the Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches series will be aired on January 5, 2023. The remaining episodes will then be released weekly.
