We thought she was immortal and yet Betty White has died on December 31, 2021 shortly before her hundredth birthday. The American actress was an icon of the small screen for 70 years.

If her career began in the 1950s with the series Life with Elizabeth and Date With Angels, Betty White broke the screen a few years later. First with her role of Sue Ann Nivens in the series The Mary Tyler Moore Show, for which she won two Emmy Awards for best supporting actress. Then, with the role of Rose Nylund in the cult series The Golden Girls. Her performance allows her to win the Emmy Award for Best Actress in 1986 and to be nominated six other times for this award. She played again this role for one season in a spin-off called The Golden Palace.

Later, Betty White became a familiar face on the small screen and appeared in many shows, including That ’70s Show, Boston Justice, The Bold and the Beautiful, Community, Malcolm, My Wife and Kids, Yes, Dear and The Middle. For 5 years, from 2010 to 2015, she played a main role in the comedy Hot in Cleveland and won new awards for her remarkable performance.

Loved by all her work partners, and adored by fans of series, Betty White would have been 100 years old on January 17, 2022. Since the announcement of her death, many homages have been made on social networks.
