Do you want to learn more about some of your favorite series? If that’ s the case, we’ve got good news for you: with the emergence of podcasts, more and more actors and actresses are participating in the game of telling stories and anecdotes via podcasts dedicated to a particular series. Here are four programs that will help you learn more about Scrubs, The Office, The Good Place and The West Wing.
Fake Doctors, Real Friends With Zach + Donald (Scrubs)
Zach Braff and Donald Faison, the two stars of the Scrubs series, best friends in real life and on screen, have teamed up to watch the entire series and comment on each episode through their podcast Fake Doctors, Real Friends With Zach + Donald. An initiative that delighted the fans of Scrubs, the comedy of the 2000s, and that will make you want to shout “Eagle”. By mid-May there were 11 episodes released.
Office Ladies (The Office)
While Zach Braff and Donald Faison used the lockdown to launch their podcast, Angela Kinsey and Jenna Fischer, the two actresses starring in the cult comedy The Office, launched theirs in October 2019. Just like their peers from Scrubs, they watch every episode of the series and share countless anecdotes about The Office. By early May 2020 there were about 30 episodes available.
The West Wing Weekly (The West Wing)
Since 2016, Joshua Malina, the actor who played Will Bailey in The West Wing series, has been working on a podcast to revisit one of the most popular dramas of recent decades. More than 185 episodes are available to explore the history of the series in his company and that of his co-stars and members of the production.
The Good Place: The Podcast (The Good Place)
Unlike other podcasts, the one devoted to The Good Place is an official NBC podcast. Hosted by Marc Evan Jackson, who played Shawn in the series, the podcast allows the actors, screenwriters and producers to revisit the story of The Good Place and to share their anecdotes about the shooting and the cast.
